Innovative Design Technology
The objective of this course is to help the student develop an awareness of technology used in today's high paced manufacturing and construction firms. Students gain an understanding of terminology common to the areas of engineering and construction by participating in high interest activities such as the giant clothespin project and a model bridge project. The popular CO2 car project helps students to learn about aerodynamics, shapes, and measurements. Hand and power tool safety will be greatly emphasized. Career awareness is also integrated.
