Greetings Winona Middle School families,
I am excited for my third year as the Winona Middle School Assistant Principal. Prior to WMS, I spent two years at our high school in the same role. At WMS, we are a community of lifelong learners, engaged in creating our culture, where all are safe, valued and accountable to one another success.
I encourage you to take some time to navigate our school (and district) website to learn more about us along with available resources. In particular, the parent-student handbook is full of important information and will help you and your child have a successful year. It will provide you with some of the common expectations and procedures for Winona Middle School.
Middle school years are a time of tremendous growth and changes in the lives of our children. My main goal is to ensure every student is provided with the highest quality education in a safe and supportive learning environment. While working together as a team with our caring staff and parents I am committed to helping each student achieve their very best.
A little about me … I have served in education for nearly nineteen years. I came to Winona Middle School with several years of experience as an administrator in elementary, middle and secondary settings. Prior to my service as an administrator, I taught middle school language arts and reading. When I am not at school, I enjoy spending my time with my two sons, Riley (13) and Logan (11).
Please be assured students are our first priority at Winona Middle School. We are committed to your child’s success through a positive and supportive atmosphere at school and encouragement from school and home.
Our mission: Expect excellence, grounded in compassion, to meet the needs of all learners.
