School Psychologists
School psychologists support students' learning, behavior, and mental health. They work closely with families, educators, and other support staff to help every child succeed in school — socially, emotionally, and academically.
Here’s how school psychologists help students:
- Assess learning and behavioral needs to identify supports
- Help develop individual education plans (IEPs) and other student services
- Provide short-term counseling and behavior support
- Assist with social-emotional learning and skill building
- Work with staff and families to create safe, positive learning environments
- Support students through challenges such as anxiety, trauma, or grief
School psychologists are problem-solvers and advocates who help ensure every student can learn and thrive.
