Monday is the day! We are excited to welcome our kindergartners, first graders and fifth graders to in-person learning, five days a week, for the first time since before the pandemic started on Monday. Also, our students at the Winona Area Learning Center are back in a hybrid model beginning Monday. Group A will attend on Monday and Tuesday, while Group B will attend on Thursday and Friday.
Early Childhood returned to its in-person/hybrid model on Monday, Jan. 4.
Other grades will remain in distance learning and return to some form of in-person learning later this month. A complete timeline is available at this link.
We have made many updates to our in-person, hybrid and distance learning plans. You can view all of those on the WAPS Safe Learning plan website linked here. One major change will come for WSHS students, who will receive synchronous instruction four days a week instead of two beginning Monday. Students should check their email for additional information from WSHS Principal Mark Anderson regarding the change.
Looking ahead, please remember that Monday, Jan. 18 and Friday, Jan. 22 are previously scheduled no school days.
If you have more questions, please feel free to reach out to your teacher or building principal. You can also ask it here, and a staff member will respond to you within 24 business hours.
