Jezabelle Wobig, a Winona Senior High School student, was named a winner in the "Hands are For" art competition.

Wobig, a senior, won the "most colorful" award and represented the theme of "Hands are for Flourishing." Wobig was honored along with other winners at WNB Financial on Nov. 17.

The "Hands are For" art competition is for all children in grades 3 through 12 in Winona County. Student artists are asked to design an art project that promotes how to use one's hands for good, positive interactions. The event is organized by the Winona County Primary Prevention Project and the Family and Children’s Center. Mayor Scott Sherman handed out awards to each student winner. WNB Financial generously sponsored each winner with a $50 gift card. Twelve judges chose nine winners out of the 300 entries this year.

The work of Wobig and other winners will be displayed on an electronic billboard in Winona throughout December.
