WSHS Spanish Class Creates 47 Books

WSHS Spanish Class Creates 47 Books

Winona Senior High School students in Susan Larsen’s Spanish 4 classes worked in collaboration with Gunderson Lutheran Global Partners to help create 47 books for the children in Matagalpa, Nicaragua. The WSHS students learned about Nicaragua as well as demonstrated all they have learned by writing, editing, illustrating, and publishing a children’s book in Spanish. The 47 books will be delivered to school libraries in Nicaragua by representatives from the Gunderson Lutheran Global Partners. The project was made possible by donations from the WAPS Foundation and Mr. Mark Anderson.
