The Winona FFA Chapter has a state champion.
Kinsley Keeling’s research project titled “Soil Management Using Isopods” claimed the top spot in the Agriscience Fair at the Minnesota State FFA Convention last month. Keeling will present her project at the national convention next fall.
Keeling’s state title wasn’t the only highlight of the trip.
Miriam Jackson competed in the Extemporaneous Speaking LDE (Leadership Development Event) where she placed 8th in the state.
Two CDE (Career Development Event) teams qualified and competed at state: Companion Animal and Nursery & Landscape.
The Companion Animal team consisted of: Liv Gross, Sophie Ehlo, Kinsley Keeling, and Makayla Tesmer.
The Nursery & Landscape team consisted of: Hope Berse, Miriam Jackson, Tristian Jacob, and Maeley Palmer
The Winona FFA advisor is Amanda Langley.
