On Monday, district leadership met with some staff members to begin planning to prepare distance learning plans in case Gov. Tim Walz orders a longer school closure.
As we previously announced, Winona Area Public Schools will be closed from March 16-27 to work on these plans.
However, we are committed to arranging services for members in our community who require them during this challenging time.
Beginning Wednesday, March 18, we will be providing student meals at nine locations around Winona and the surrounding areas. We will also be providing free child care for the children of emergency workers.
