Students Visit Concordia Language Village Camps

Winona Middle School and Winona Senior High School students attended Concordia Language Village Camps in Bemidji, Minnesota February 2-4, 2018 for German and Spanish language immersion experience.  Both villages are designed to appear as a they would in Germany or a Spanish speaking country, giving Winona students the opportunity to practice what they are learning in their language classes in a real-life environment with native and heritage speakers.

While attending the village, students enjoyed food, activities and dances particular to each country.  This year’s themes were Mexico (Spanish Village) and Austria (German Village).  The yearly excursion is made possible thanks to a generous donation from the Winona Area Public Schools Foundation.
