Winona Area Public Schools Community Education is now accepting registrations for its Summer Key Kids program, which begins Tuesday, June 9.
WAPS Community Education is required to prioritize registration for workers deemed essential by the state of Minnesota. Registrations for children of Tier 1, 2, and 3 employees will be prioritized through May 20. Summer Key Kids will also accept registrations of children from those employees not deemed essential. WAPS Community Education expects it will be able to meet the needs of both essential and nonessential workers.
Summer Key Kids is for all children entering kindergarten through sixth grade, including those who are not enrolled in a WAPS school. The program is housed at Winona Middle School, 1570 Homer Road, and offers care and activities from 6:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks are provided at no additional cost.
Summer Key Kids runs through Friday, Aug. 28. It will be closed July 3 and July 6.

Summer Key Kids will strictly adhere to social distancing guidelines established by the Minnesota Department of Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The health and safety of the students, the staff and the Winona community is of the utmost importance.
