Q and A with Dr. Freiheit: What data do we use to make COVID-19 decisions?

On Monday, Winona Area Public Schools leadership made the decision to move Winona Middle School into distance learning after noticing a rapid rise in the number of students and staff who needed to isolate or quarantine.

On Wednesday, Superintendent Dr. Annette K. Freiheit shared with communications coordinator John Casper about why the decision was made and what the district looks for when making decisions related to COVID-19.

This is the first in a regular series of interviews with the superintendent and other district staff to keep the WAPS community updated on everything that is going on in the district.
