Openings remain for VPK program
Oliver VPK

Oliver, a student in the VPK program last year, holds up an artwork he did during distance learning.

We still have openings for our VPK program.

Voluntary prekindergarten (VPK) is a publicly funded prekindergarten program that provides free, high-quality early childhood education opportunities for eligible 4-year-old children that prepare them for success as they enter kindergarten the following year.

VPK uses play-based learning as well as participates in coordinated transitions to kindergarten and parent involvement opportunities to create high-quality early learning opportunities that meet the needs of each child.

Programs also offer free transportation.

The class meets Monday-Friday from 11:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., and consistent attendance is required. To register, please visit https://www.winonaschools.org/communityed/early-childhood/community-preschools.
