Kindergarten Family Hike

October 3^rd, W-K kindergartners participated in the Kindergarten Family Hike led by early childhood educator and outdoor enthusiast, Katy Smith. Each child was provided with a bag and paint chip to look for objects in nature that matched their color. They enjoyed a hike in the rain, climbed over logs, streams and up a hill to see a beautiful waterfall. Katy led songs for the group as they looked for signs of fall. This activity connected beautifully to W-K Project Based Learning unit about Fall. It was a great adventure and ended with a full rainbow in the sky!
