USA Swimming on Monday announced the names of the 1,634 high school swimmers selected to the High School Scholastic All-America team.

Winona Senior High School standouts Jack Herczeg and Grant Wolner were on the list and were two of the 42 athletes from Minnesota to receive recognition.

To earn the title of Scholastic All-American, athletes must be in Grades 9-12 and maintain a minimum 3.5 grade point average during the application year while meeting the 2018 Winter Junior time standards in the pool.

Herczeg was a double state champion as a junior, winning the 50 and 100 freestyle at the MSHSL Class A state meet in March. He also swam with Winona’s second-place 200 and 400 freestyle relay teams.

Wolner won the 100 butterfly at the state meet and added a third-place finish in the 200 individual medley in addition to the two second-place relay finishes.
