Winona Area Public SchoolsOn February 14th, students at Goodview Elementary walked into the gymnasium with excitement for their annual Goodview Gathering. During this event, the entire school sits and has lunch together. Each class sat at the same table as their buddy classes, example 4th grade sat with their kindergarten buddies and 3rd grade sat with their 1st grade buddies.
At the Goodview Gathering, students practiced meal etiquette, manners, and engaged in conversations with their peers as they waited to have their lunch served to them! Mrs. Bjerke chose the Valentine’s theme this year centered on empathy and friendship. Prior to the event, classes decorated the gym with “heart animal” art projects and staff decorated the lunch tables with red, pink and purple decor to make the children feel extra special on Valentine’s Day!
