Carter Briggs named KTTC athlete of the week

Winona Senior High School cross country runner Carter Briggs was named the KTTC athlete of the week after winning both the Big 9 Conference meet and the MSHSL Section 1AA meet.

Briggs is one of three Winona runners to qualify for Saturday's state meet at St. Olaf in Northfield. He will be joined by junior Cody Peterson in the boys race. Anni Skillicorn, a senior, qualified for the girls race.
