Winona Area Public Schools is joining thousands of other school districts across the country in celebrating Youth Art Month this March.

And you don't even have to leave your house to experience the talent of our students.

For the second year in a row, the WAPS art teachers put together a virtual art show displaying the work of students in Grades K-12. The show is available at this link

WAPS will also be showcasing one student artwork a day on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Youth Art Month is a time for showcasing student art, but it also a time to celebrate the overall benefit of art programs in general. Art education and art creation is linked to student growth and
achievement in other content areas. Art allows students to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills, it promotes creativity, and is thought to enhance overall academic performance.
