In-school health clinics for WSHS, WMS students

Hello families,

Did you know that your child has access to in-school health care at Winona Senior High School and Winona Middle School?

You may not need to leave work to sit in a waiting room with your child. As long as a parental consent form has been submitted, they can just walk down to the school-based health care clinics offered by Winona Health and be seen with a scheduled appointment.

These clinics can offer:

  • Well child exams
  • Sports physical exams (if combined with well child exams)
  • Medication follow-ups
  • New mental health concerns
  • Problem visits, such as concerns about a rash, asthma or chronic illness concerns
  • Vaccines, provided parental consent is provided ahead of time

Parents/guardians are not required to attend the appointment (as long as there is a signed consent form), but they are welcome to attend.

Any medication adjustments that the provider would like to make are typically discussed with the parent/guardian after the appointment before any medications are sent to a pharmacy, just to make sure everyone is on the same page.

Follow-up appointments can be scheduled on-site as well.

Upcoming appointment slots available include:

  • Feb. 21 at Winona Middle School - four open spots
  • March 13 at Winona Senior High School - three open spots
  • March 20 at Winona Middle School - four open spots
  • April 10 at Winona Senior High School - three open spots
  • April 17 at Winona Middle School - four open spots
  • May 8 at Winona Senior High School - three open spots
  • May 15 at Winona Middle School - six open spots

For more information, or to schedule an appointment, please call 507-457-7607. The parental consent form is available here, and copies are available in the health office of each school.

Thank you,
