Jefferson families: It's time to sign up for back to school conferences

Hello Jefferson families! 

We can’t wait for the start of the new school year! Once again, we will begin the school year with back-to-school conferences. If this is your first year with a child in Winona Area Public Schools, these conferences help build a solid foundation for a successful school year and provide families time to meet with classroom teachers and special education teachers individually.

Who is my student’s teacher?

• Class lists have been updated, and you can learn who your child’s teacher will be by logging into the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. 
• Visit https://winonamn.infinitecampus.org/campus/portal/winona.jsp or access the Parent Portal app. 
• Click on your child’s name
• In the left-hand menu, click on “Schedule” (On the app, you will need to expand the menu by clicking on the button in the upper left-hand corner)
• Your child’s teacher will be listed

Back to School conferences
Back to School conferences allow students and families a chance to meet their new teacher. Exciting! Families will sign up for a 20-minute conference slot with each of their child’s classroom teachers. Teachers will share information about their classrooms and the school, and give families an opportunity to ask questions or share information about their child.

Please bring school supplies to your back to school conference! 

The conferences will be held during the following times: 

• Thursday, Aug. 27: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (last conference time at 5:40 p.m.)
• Monday, Aug. 31: 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (last conference time at 2:10 p.m.)

How to Sign-up for Back to School Conferences

• To sign up for your time, visit: https://www.myconferencetime.com/jeffersonwaps
• Look for a link with the name of your child’s teacher
• Fill out the necessary information

In addition to the conference with a teacher, families can tour the school, drop off school supplies, complete paperwork and meet support personnel. 

Popsicles with the Principal
All Jefferson families are invited to meet new principal Brent Stinson and meet friends both old and new at a Popsicles with the Principal gathering from 4-5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26 at the Jefferson playground. 

First Day of School
The first day of school for Jefferson will be Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026.
