Information about the FirstView bus tracking app

Hello families, 

As a reminder, First Student has a bus tracking app called FirstView 1.0. There is an old version of the app, now called FirstView Classic, that is no longer in use.  

FirstView 1.0, a free app which can be used on both Apple and Android phones, allows parents and caregivers the ability to stay connected with their child’s daily transportation route. 

• See the real-time vehicle location via GPS and track its progress.
• Easy access to vehicle details as well as updates regarding any changes.
• Receive multiple distanced-based ETA notifications when the vehicle is getting close.
• Set-up family members and caregivers to receive trip email alerts.
• Dedicated customer support team for all app-related questions.

If you do not have the app downloaded, here’s how to get started:

STEP 1: Download the app. Search for the name FirstView 1.0. 

STEP 2: You must register for a new account. Your previous information will not migrate over. You will be asked to provide: 

• The 5-character District Code: I6H4E
• Student Name
• Student ID Number (which can be found on Infinite Campus)

STEP 3: Add distance notifications to be alerted in the app or via push notifications when the vehicle is close to your student’s stop location. To set this up in the app, click on “Set Distance Notifications.” You can edit or add additional distance notifications by clicking on the notification bell and selecting Notifications Settings.
