Goodview families: It's time to sign up for back to school conferences

Hello kindergarten families! 

We can’t wait for the start of the new school year! As is tradition in WAPS, we will begin the school year with back-to-school conferences. If this is your first year with a child in Winona Area Public Schools, these conferences help build a solid foundation for a successful school year.  At back-to-school conferences, your family will meet the classroom teacher(s), drop off school supplies, explore the building and meet with specialized personnel (health office, main office, special education case managers and more).

Who is my student’s teacher?
Class lists have been updated, and you can learn who your child’s teacher will be by logging into the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. 

• Visit https://winonamn.infinitecampus.org/campus/portal/winona.jsp or access the Parent Portal app. 
• Click on your child's name
• In the left-hand menu, click on “Schedule” (On the app, you will need to expand the menu by clicking on the button in the upper left-hand corner)
• Your child’s teacher will be listed

Please note: Class lists are subject to change based on a variety of factors, including additional registrations. If your child’s teacher assignment changes, we will contact you directly.

Back to School conferences
Back to School conferences allow students and families a chance to meet their new teacher.  Exciting! Families will sign up for a 20-minute conference slot with their child’s classroom teacher (and special education case manager when applicable). Teachers will share information about their classrooms and the school, and give families an opportunity to ask questions or share information about their child.

Please bring school supplies to your back to school conference! 

The conferences will be held during the following times:

• Thursday, Aug. 27:  10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (last conference time at 5:40 p.m.)
• Monday, Aug. 30:  7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (last conference time at 2:10 p.m.)

How to Sign-up for Back to School Conferences

• To sign up for your time, visit: https://www.myconferencetime.com/goodviewwaps
• Look for a link with the name of your child’s teacher
• Fill out the necessary information

In addition to the conference with a teacher, families can tour the school, drop off school supplies, complete paperwork and meet support personnel. 

Popsicles in the Park
All Goodview kindergarten families are invited to meet together to play, meet new friends and enjoy a popsicle at the Popsicles in the Park event from 4:00pm to 5:00pm. Wednesday, Aug. 26 at the Goodview playground.

First Day of School
The first day of school for kindergarten at Goodview will be Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026.
