An update on the 2026-2027 school calendar

Hello families, 

We wanted to share a quick update about next school year’s calendar.

The school board recently approved a small adjustment to the 2026-27 school calendar. When reviewing the calendar, we realized it included two fewer student days than what has been typical in recent years. One additional student day has been added.

• With this change, Monday, Feb. 15 will now be a school day for students instead of a teacher workshop day. The overall start and end dates for the school year remain the same:
• The first day will be Tuesday, Sept. 1. (An orientation day for Grades 5, Grades 9 and new ALC students will be held Monday, Aug. 31).
• The last day will be Friday, May 28.
