WSHS Theatre Group to stage ‘Wizard of Oz’

The Winona community is invited to travel down the yellow brick road to see “The Wizard of Oz.” There will be three performances — 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21; 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22; and 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23 at the Winona Senior High School auditorium. 

Tickets are available online at the door — $7 for adults, $3 for seniors and students. 

“The Wizard of Oz” is written by L. Frank Baum with music and lyrics by Harold Arlen and E. Y. Harburg. Background music by Herbert Stothart. Dance and Vocal Arrangements by Peter Howard. Orchestration by Larry Wilcox. Adapted by John Kane for the Royal Shakespeare Company. Based upon the Classic Motion Picture owned by Turner Entertainment Co. and distributed in all media by Warner Bros.
