Winona Area Public Schools Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) program will host a four-part series in May focused on helping families navigate technology use in the home.

The series, “Managing Technology in Your Family,” will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursdays — May 7, May 14, May 21 and May 28 — at Goodview School, 5100 9th St.

Each session is designed for both children and caregivers. Children will participate in play, snacks and developmentally appropriate activities while parents and caregivers engage in discussions about technology use, including its impacts, strategies and best practices.

The sessions will draw on research-based resources, including The Screenagers Project, “The Anxious Generation,” “Dopamine Kids,” and guidance from the American Academy of Pediatrics.

The program is open to children from birth to age 9. Children who are not yet walking or younger than 1 will remain with a parent or caregiver during the session.

Families may attend one or more sessions in the series.

Registration is available at https://waps.pub/ecfe_technology.
